Lower Cambridge Chemistry Challenge

15 students participated in this year’s Lower Cambridge Chemistry Challenge and despite a very challenging paper, four achieved Copper Awards (Edwin Abraham, Abigail Culverwell, Milind Kowsik and Jack Harrington), with Sophia O’Donnell receiving a Silver Award and Chaitan Patel a Gold Award.Head of Chemistry Louise Harris explained, “The competition aims to stretch and challenge A Level Chemistry students and provides a valuable experience to those considering taking their studies further. Set by an experienced team of teachers and university chemists, it’s designed to take Lower sixth students beyond the syllabus and encourages them to think about Science in the way they would at university.”
