On Thursday 27 November, Lower Sixth BTEC Music students treated an audience of students and staff to a lunchtime gig in the refectory they had organised as part of their course. Three bands took to the stage, performing a lively mix of songs by well-known male artists.
Jacob oversaw the equipment setup for the event, an experience he said taught him the importance of planning schedules and timings carefully. He explained: “The hardest part for us was adapting at short notice when we learned the event would start earlier than expected.”
The students used the occasion as part of the College’s fundraising effort to support Movember – a charity focused on men’s mental and physical health – by collecting donations and selling stick-on moustaches during the gig.
