On Thursday 20 November, English Literature students attended a talk and Q&A in the Rispoli Theatre led by renowned poet Patience Agbabi, that was hosted by the College’s English department.
Agbabi’s poem ‘Eat Me’ is studied on the course as part of a unit on modern poetry. The talk delved into Agbabi’s craft and methods as a writer and led to some interesting discussions about poetry’s place as an art form in modern culture.
Will Rowlely, Course Leader for English Literature at Reigate College said, “It was great witnessing how students’ questions helped develop their understanding of the poem. Attendees seemed to find it a memorable and special experience.”
