Neurodiversity Week 2025

We’ve been celebrating Neurodiversity Week in style with a series of break-time events designed to support our neurodiverse students and raise awareness among the College community.

The week saw students complete neurodiversity challenges while winning treats with a game of Sweet Pong; enjoy the calm of making their own slime; experience our pop-up Sensory Room; and gain an insight into ‘overwhelm’ through the comedy-drama feature Everything, Everywhere All at Once.

Staff and students visibly showed their support by wearing fabulous stickers crafted by Head of Art & Design Chantelle Shekyls and Creative Digital Design students.

On Thursday we welcomed Reigate-based charity Active Prospects, who ran a lunchtime drop-in about employment support for our neurodiverse young adults and talked stress relief with the wider student community.

And to round off the week, our Rispoli Theatre screened Spectrum Syndicate, a film by Upper Sixth student Lily Dain.

Massive thanks must go to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Lead Rob Walton-Kinghorn for spearheading the week and the cracking staff team – Jo Driscoll, Wendy Gregory, Charlotte Groves, Claire Hassan, Sally Low and Katie Shannon – who helped to make it happen.
