A Level Music students have been out and about in the last few weeks.
On 14 October they attended the first day of a Composition Workshop Project at the Yehudi Menuhin School in Dorking, closely followed on 19 October by a trip to Glyndebourne, to see a performance of Fidelio, Beethoven’s only opera.
The same group will also be attending a Music Analysis Conference at Queen Anne’s School in Caversham, on 16 November.
Head of Music Kate Swan explained. “Attending these trips gives students the opportunity to immerse themselves in specific topics and benefit from the input of experts in their fields. The intention is for them to consolidate, refresh and extend their learning, while also having a bit of fun outside the usual College environment.”
