Men's football

Reigate College Sports Teams had a busy afternoon of matches yesterday. Here are all the results:

The Women’s Football Team had the opportunity to try something new and take part in an indoor five-a-Side Futsal tournament. As well as being a great experience, it also proved particularly helpful in developing passing skills and accuracy in shooting. The Player of the Match was shared between the two teams, and particular mention goes to Megan Drew for her excellent play in goal and her communication with the team. The results were as follows:

  • Reigate B v Woking: 4-1
  • Reigate B v Richmond: 2-2
  • John Ruskin v Reigate B: 0-3
  • Reigate A v John Ruskin: 5-3
  • Richmond v Reigate A: 1-4
  • Woking v Reigate A: 0-1

Overall in the competition, the Reigate A Team finished in first place, and the Reigate B Team in second place – a fantastic achievement!

In other matches:

The Mixed Hockey Team won 3-2 against Sackville College in a very good away game, despite the challenging weather conditions.

The Netball B Team won 36-20 in their match against Strode’s A Team. Player of the Match went to Charlotte Parker.

The Men’s 1st Football Team beat Esher College Esher 3-0. The scorers were Josh Rapson, Ronald Schoengut Nunez and Lee Peacock, and there was an excellent performance from Lucas Alloway who saved a penalty.

The 2nd Team won 5-0 in the Plate semi-final. Man of the match went to Felix Tiley.

The 3rd Team played exceptionally well against a talented Pulse Tomlinscote side, eventually conceding 5-2 in the Cup semi-final of the cup. The goal scorers were Bradley Girt and Remell Bernard-Thompson.

Well done to everyone involved.
