As part of the transition from school to university or work, our students are encouraged to develop their independent learning skills and also to extend their learning through “stretch and challenge” opportunities designed by our teachers. Structured Learning Days provide an opportunity to spend a day consolidating and extending learning through planned self-study and additional reading based on guidance from teachers.
The Structured Learning Days during the academic year 2025-2026 will be on:
- Friday 3 October 2025
- Thursday 18 December 2025
- Wednesday 28 January 2026
- Monday 2 March 2026
Students will be set work that is specifically designed to foster independent learning skills. Tasks can be completed at home, though if a student wishes to come in and use the College’s Independent Learning Centre they may.
