A huge thanks to Servomex Product Manager Dr Stephen Firth for his fascinating talk on how chemistry is key to a cleaner, healthier and more productive world (7 November).

Louise Harris, Head of Chemistry said, “Dr Firth gave a brilliant overview of his team’s cutting-edge work in gas analysis, even bringing in specimens in for our students to examine and handle. 

“He also did a fantastic job outlining the skills needed to work in the chemistry industry today while linking this to key A Level chemistry topics such as The Ozone Story, atmospheric chemistry and analytical chemistry techniques.

“Our students have definitely had their eyes opened to how the learning from their A-level science courses has application in emerging – and exciting – new chemistry jobs in industry, such as carbon capture research.”
