34 College chemists took part, with Max I (photographed) achieving a Gold Award, 12 students securing Silver awards and 18 Bronze.
Daniel Jackson, the Chemistry Teacher who organises the College’s participation, explained, “Students take part in the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), UK Chemistry Olympiad as an opportunity to push themselves further and excel in the field of Chemistry. By taking part, they extend their critical problem-solving skills, learn to think more creatively and have the chance to test their knowledge in new, real-world situations. This year we had the highest participation ever, with a very encouraging swell of numbers of students from the Lower Sixth.”
Congratulations to all the students who took part and to Daniel, for organising the College’s entry!
