Public Services students heard about a different side of policing at a talk by alum Alexander Kounoupias (May 1), who works as a Strategic Intelligence Analyst with the Met Police.
Head of Public Services Nick Moynihan said, “Alex took us on his journey from College to today, including how an unpaid work experience opportunity proved valuable in securing his current job.
“He gave us great insights into the processes he uses to gather the intelligence to complete a specific task. To bring things to life, he also shared some publicly known case studies which helped to illustrate how an Intelligence Analyst might gather the details needed to bring that person to justice.
“The students found it highly engaging and it really helped to develop their understanding of the different roles on offer within policing.”
