Our thanks to Alumna Angellyca Allen who came in to College on 30 March and gave some fantastic insights into her Architecture Degree Apprenticeship with Clerkenwell company APT London and London South Bank University.
Two years into her work and study, she’s already worked on a mix of commercial and high-end residential projects. Angellyca chose an apprenticeship over the traditional university route because of the faster timeline into qualifying and avoiding the potential debt accumulating from around 8 years of study.
Angellyca said, “I’ve learnt about 90% of what I know from being in the workplace, supporting the development of real-life projects. There are late nights to meet project deadlines from time-to-time, but I have great colleagues and APT plan brilliant social events which more than makes up for it!”
Angellyca stressed the ongoing the importance of Maths and Physics in her daily work, and highlighted the touchpoints with Engineering, Law and Art. Thank you Angellyca!
