Lower Sixth students support new secondary school

Merstham Park school visit

Safia McDonald, Alice Sadler and Alicia Coutet-Arthur in the Lower Sixth have been working with Merstham Park School in their pupil recruitment.

Merstham Park School opened in September 2018 and is currently on a temporary site with just one year group. Safia, Alice and Alicia worked on an activity for the school to take into local primary schools to help attract students. Having finalised their idea, they presented it to Merstham Park School Headteacher Martin Beard.

Mr Beard was so impressed with the proposal that he has decided to take the idea forward and has invited the students to go into the Lime Tree School to help deliver it. He thanked them for their involvement, saying, “The students are a huge credit to the College. I am extremely grateful and impressed with what they have produced.”

Merstham Park School is one of Reigate College’s five partner schools alongside de Stafford, Oakwood, Reigate and The Warwick.
