Reigate College Rugby gets off to a flying start

Rugby player being lifted by other players

The College is delighted to announce it has secured an impressive line-up of coaches for this season’s Men’s and Women’s Rugby squads.

Alongside Head of Extra Curricular Piers Cox and Women’s Rugby Coach Nick Waterton (Warlingham RFC), RFU England Rugby Coach Henry Birch will be helping run weekly training sessions at Wallfields.

The season kicked off with trials earlier in September where potential squad members had the opportunity to be coached and assessed by three RFU England Rugby coaches. There was some really excellent play with stand-out performances from the Men’s from Wil Rees, Joe Forrester, Daniel John, Ben Kocar and Alistair Reid, and Harlequin RFC rep China-Marie Kill and England player Sophie Stevens in particular from the Women’s.

As well as weekly fixtures for the Men’s First Fifteen, there will be opportunities for both the Second Team and the Women’s First Fifteen which is going from strength to strength having only been formed for the first time last year.

With such an excellent start, it promises to be a really exciting season ahead for Reigate College Rugby.
