Reigate College students attend Nestlé skills and assessment day

Students at the Nestle skills assessment day

On Thursday 15th March, 35 Reigate College students attended an Insight skills and assessment day run by Nestlé in association with MyKindaFuture.

The invitation-only event was the second part in a selection process for a week’s paid work experience with Nestlé, the first part being to submit a detailed application form and complete a creative task. With only 55 students attending the day, Reigate College was very well represented, demonstrating the high standard of College applicants.

The students spent the morning at Nestlé UK Head Office in Gatwick, working in groups on a teamwork challenge and presentation. This was followed by a session on how to prepare for interviews in advance of the individual interviews themselves.

Reigate College Work Experience Co-ordinator Sam Burnett attended the event with the students and reported some exceptional performances, saying, “I was very impressed with the overall standard – the groups all worked well together with every team member contributing to the presentation. The quality was high and everyone gave a great performance.”
