Upper Sixth Sports Ambassador Katie Lulu, is the person behind the College’s new women-only gym session – Tuesdays 11am-12 midday (for enrolled students).
She explains, “I’ve been going to the gym for around three years and find it’s of huge benefit to both my physical and mental wellbeing. As a young woman, I’ve experienced the fear of being in a male-dominated weight section. I love that at College, I’m now in a position to help empower other women to set and reach their goals without feeling intimidated by the presence of men”.
“I’m around for Personal Training for the first 30 minutes of the free, hour-long session on Tuesdays (11-12). It would be awesome to see more like-minded, goal-orientated women students come along, and join the supportive community we’re building”. No booking necessary.
