Gold Award winner Holly Mitchell, who was at Woodcote School before coming to Reigate, explained: “It was interesting to see how the Chemistry I’ve been learning at A Level was applied to real life situations. Taking part in the Chemistry Olympiad is a great way of stretching yourself. I’m hoping to study Chemistry at Imperial College London when I leave Reigate.”
Louise Harris, Head of Chemistry at Reigate College added, “The UK Chemistry Olympiad is the leading chemistry competition for students in the UK. Taking part gives students the opportunity to demonstrate critical and creative problem-solving skills and apply their knowledge in new, real-world situations.”
“Well done to everyone who participated. Thank you also to Daniel Jackson, Chemistry Teacher at Reigate College, for all your organisational help.”
