Salamanca 2019

Twenty A Level Spanish students and two members of staff travelled to Salamanca in March for a week of study and a chance to experience life in Spain. Students lived with host families, and attended classes every morning, practising their speaking skills to the full and furthering their knowledge of the language.

It wasn’t all study! A lively bachata dance class, and games of ‘padel’ (a cross between tennis and squash) were highlights of the trip, along with a guided tour of the city, lots of chances to indulge in tapas and typical food, and ending with a chance to see Picasso’s masterpiece ‘Guernica’ before returning home.

The students all found it incredibly helpful with some of the comments made including:

“It gave me confidence to speak the language.” (Naria)

“It was an amazing experience.” (Beth)

“Really nice people who help you with your language…” (Dalia)

Students have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of UK and overseas trips during their time at College.
