Lower and Upper Sixth A Level Mathematics students took part in the UKMT Senior Maths Challenge in November and between them achieved an impressive number of certificates: 3 Gold, 24 Silver and 21 Bronze.
The Gold Certificates went to Riana Islam, who came top in College, Emma Masters and Daniel Selwood. All three were in the top 6,000 students nationally and as a result qualified for the Senior Kangaroo round, in which Riana scored an outstanding 85 out of a possible 100 marks.
Maths teacher David Neumann praised the students who took part, saying, “The results reflect the hard work and ability of our mathematicians. They should all be congratulated for their success, and particularly Riana, Emma and Dan.”
College Principal Nick Clark presented the students with their certificates on Thursday 16th January.
