Upper Sixth student Tom Millar is currently in training for the London Landmarks Half Marathon on 24th March 2019.
The closed-roads race, now in its second year, takes in the sites of Westminster and the City of London and will be competed in by some 13,000 runners. Tom has chosen to race in order to raise money for the Royal British Legion, a charity he has been involved with since his time as a Cadet with the Army Cadet Force (ACF).
As a Cadet, Tom competed in a large number of activities, including captaining the orienteering team and completing his Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award. He has also taken part in a couple of half marathons previously, and he regularly trains and takes part in long-distance running.
Tom joined the College from the Royal Alexander and Albert School having previously spent six years at a school in France. He is studying a Foundation Technical Level in Engineering, BTEC Level 3 Applied Science and A Level Art and is currently going through the application process to become a Pilot Officer in the Royal Air Force.
