“I really enjoyed my time at College, it opened my eyes to what is possible in life – if you put your mind to it”
After College I went to study politics at university, but part way through the course realised it wasn’t for me and decided to pursue my childhood ambition of becoming an Army Officer. I always wanted to do something where I felt I could make a difference and be of service to my country and joining the Army is by far the best decision I have ever made. I have been extremely privileged to work with and lead groups of soldiers; it is a position of huge trust and every day I strive to do my best for those under my command. I have been in the Army for 11 years and have served in Belfast, Canada, Cyprus, Afghanistan, Belize, Malawi and Kenya.”
