How and why did you decide which subjects to study?

I always enjoyed English at school so that was a definite choice but I also wanted to study something new, which is why I went for Philosophy and Sociology.

What have you enjoyed most about your courses?

I’ve enjoyed the range of literature we study in the English Literature course and the way it overlaps with my other two subjects through discussions about religion and sociological concepts in literature.

How have you found the teaching?

The teaching staff have all been very helpful and supportive with my learning and have also been very kind and understanding throughout my time at College.

What do you like most about being a student at Reigate College?

I like the structure of our learning – the balance between in class teaching and the structured learning we are set for completing outside the classroom. It means we learn to structure our own time and gives us more freedom and flexibility than at school.

What’s your plan for when you leave College?

After studying English Literature at university I’d like to become an English teacher, preferably teaching English Literature at A Level, so that I can share my love of the subject!
