How and why did you decide which subjects to study?


I chose English and Sociology because they were subjects I had studied at GCSE and wanted to explore in more depth at A Level. Psychology has been a great additional choice.

What have you enjoyed most about your courses?


I’ve really enjoyed studying Sociology, Psychology and English Literature together, as they all require critical thinking and essaybased skills. Developing these overlapping abilities has boosted my confidence across all three subjects.

Tell us about any College Enrichment activities you’ve been involved in outside lessons


As part of Aspire, I completed an EPQ that allowed me to explore my interest in Sociology beyond the course content and confirmed my decision to apply for Sociology at university. My project question was: To what extent has the COVID19 pandemic negatively affected the socialisation and development of young children in the UK?

What do you like most about being a student at Reigate College?


I really like the feeling of independence you get and being treated more like an adult.

What’s your plan for when you leave College?


After College I hope to study Sociology at Exeter.
