How did you find the move from school to College?
The move was completely fine. The jump up to harder content is gradual, for example you don’t start any Further Maths content until after Christmas in the first year, and your teachers help you every step of the way.
What do you like most about being a student at Reigate College?
The freedom you’re given. Teachers treat you like adults and your timetable gives you time to work independently between leassons, as well as having time to spend relaxing with friends.
What do you think makes Reigate College good place to be a student?
The people you meet. The large cohort may initially feel daunting, but it means you’re able to interact with a diverse range of people. Within the male-dominated courses of Maths and Physics I’ve been able to meet other girls and make good friends with those who share the same interests as me.
What’s your plan for when you leave College?
After university I think I’d like to stay in academia and get a PhD. At the moment I’m specifically interested in Particle and Nuclear Physics, however I’m sure this will change once I’m studying Physics at university and am exposed to new concepts!
