Why did you choose the Apprenticeship & Employment Pathway?

I want to get straight into work and build my skills for a career in the airline industry while studying for a degree. I enjoy practical, on-the-job learning, so an apprenticeship felt like a natural choice.

How has the Pathway support you’ve received helped you plan for success?

I learnt a lot from the College alumni panel event – they had been in my position had found these types of roles.

What are some of the most valuable skills you’ve developed along the way?

Resilience is a must – I applied to quite a few opportunities and competition is tough.

What’s the biggest thing you’ve learnt about yourself on the Pathway?

Not to give up on my dream of a career in aviation. Even when placed in stressful situations such as interviews and assessment centres, remain calm and believe in yourself and what you have to offer.

What’s your plan for when you leave College? 

To work in aviation – I’ve always loved the buzz of an airport and I’m excited to have an offer for a Level 6 apprenticeship with a global airline.
