What’s your favourite subject and why?
I enjoy all my A Levels but I’d have to say PE is my favourite. The course is really varied. I enjoy Physiology because it’s interesting learning how the body works, then in ‘Social’ we learn about things like the impact of the Media in Sport and cover topics like the use of psychological theories and techniques to optimise performance.
Have you been involved in College sport?
I’ve played for the Men’s 3rd Team Football during both my Lower and Upper Sixth and this year was captain. It’s been good having the responsibility and learning how to keep players focused during matches.
What are your plans for the future?
I’m probably going to do an apprenticeship with Unique Skills Coaching where I’ve been working as a coach while at College.
USC is a community sport & development company that operates across Greater London, providing high quality coaching, fitness, video analysis and mentoring for young people. There are also opportunities for people to participate and progress within a range of different programmes.
If I don’t do the apprenticeship, then I’ll take up one of my university offers at either Chichester or Manchester to do Football coaching.
