Why did you choose Reigate College?
I chose Reigate College because I felt the increased independence would be great preparation for university. I also loved the range and variety of subjects and that there’s scope to choose any combination you like.
How did you find the move from school to College?
Coming from a much smaller school, I was concerned that I might find the size of the College intimidating, but once I got here I realised just how much College does to help you settle in and feel comfortable, especially when everything is all very new.
Tell us about any College activities you’ve been involved in outside lessons i.e. sports teams, shows, clubs and activities, DofE etc. What have you got out of them?
I’m involved in the Netball team and I also take part in the Lacrosse club at lunchtime. For me, the availability of sporting activities during College time makes the week so much more enjoyable, and it’s also built up my communication and teamwork skills. My favourite sport is Lacrosse so it’s been great to be able to play both at College and at the local club at Reigate Priory.
What do you think makes Reigate College good place to be a student?
Being a student at Reigate College teaches you a lot about responsibility and independence, and the combination of the two sets you up really well for the future.
What are your plans for the future?
I’m hoping to study Economics at university, possibly with a year in industry or abroad. After that, I’d like to get on a graduate scheme or do a job where I can work abroad and/or with people from all over the world.
