Why did you choose Reigate College?

My previous school is partnered with Reigate College, which made it a natural choice and I’d heard such positive things about the College’s academic excellence and results.

How and why did you decide which subjects to study?

I chose Musical Theatre as I’d always had a passion for performing and I chose English as I’d enjoyed the subject at GCSE. Media Studies was a new subject for me but after researching about the course on the College website, I decided to try something new.

What have you enjoyed most about your courses?

Completing my Non-Exam Assessment (NEA) in Media Studies helped me discover a new passion for Media production. I had to produce two web pages, a three minute documentary opening and a blog about my research and planning.

How have you found the teaching and support staff?

The Careers team was especially helpful when I was struggling to produce a good personal statement. Staff were easy to access and provided great support and advice.

What do you think makes Reigate College a good place to be a student?

The College’s excellent pastoral care team make Reigate College a great place to study. Mental health is a subject that is openly discussed in tutor sessions and support is easily accessed and isn’t limited to just academic advice.

What are your plans for the future?

I plan to study Media Production at the University of Brighton and hope to pursue a career in the Media industry, directing or editing one day!
