Why did you choose Reigate College?

The College has exceptional results and a great reputation. Also, as Warwick School is a College partner School, I’d attended various taster sessions facilitated through my school.

How and why did you decide which subjects to study?

The physical sciences appealed to my curious nature, as they all aim to answer the biggest questions about the universe. Physics, Chemistry and Maths were all subjects I felt passionate about and wanted to pursue further. To be able to understand the motion of an object through the air, or why different metals produce different colours of flame, is empowering.

How have you found the teaching and support staff?

I like to ask a lot of questions. Whether I ask the teaching staff, careers staff, my tutors or the Aspire staff, my questions never go unanswered. My teachers have a profound interest in their subjects and are more than willing to help extend my knowledge beyond the syllabus.

What do you like most about being a student at Reigate College?

The College has a very supportive and accepting environment and you are surrounded by people who share the same enthusiasm for their subjects.

What are your plans for the future?

I’m not quite sure yet. I know I have a passion for the physical sciences, so I’m considering applying to university for Natural Sciences or Physics (with Astrophysics), and possibly a course with the option to study abroad for a year. Beyond that, who knows? Although a Nobel prize would be nice…
