Why did you choose Reigate College?

I chose Reigate College because ultimately, I believed it would give me the best chance to achieve my future ambitions. Also, at College you have much more freedom compared to being at school and that was something I wanted.

How did you find the move from school to College?

At first it was a big step up because of how much independence and freedom you have compared to secondary school. It seems like a big place with a lot of people but you make friends very quickly and get used to the increased level of work.

How have you found the teaching and support staff (including Careers staff, Learning Support, and others if relevant)?

The teaching here has been incredible. Every teacher is so passionate about their subject and will take as much time as necessary to explain something if you don’t understand it.

Tell us about any College activities you’ve been involved in outside lessons i.e. sports teams, shows, clubs and activities, DofE etc. What have you got out of them?

I’ve been completing the DofE Gold Award whilst at college and it’s helped improve my confidence, communication and teamwork skills. I’ve also been in the MVD Society which helped me prepare for my interview and my application for Medicine.

What are your plans for the future?

Next year I’m going to study Medicine at the University of Leeds and after that become a doctor.
